At the Shores of Babylon

Psalm 137 tells the story of two competing views of the world and, ultimately, the people of God: Babylon and Zion. Babylon judges success in terms of quantity. More, more, more, bigger, bigger, bigger, is the vision of Babylon. Zion, however, judges success in terms of quality. Zion is only concerned with you becoming more and more truly who you really are. Zion is looking for the few who will honor it supremely. The Church must grapple with this and choose this day whom we will serve.
